High school history classes would have been far more interesting living in Europe. I wrote a report on the Sun King back in 10th grade. The palace, jardins, and more were the most lavish I&#8217;ve ever seen in my travels. It was a very chilly day, but we walked throughout the day, covering all corners of Versailles.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/dylanschiemann.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/dsc09005-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"Versailles\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-417\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/dylanschiemann.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/dsc09010-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"Versailles\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-418\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/dylanschiemann.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/dsc09101-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"Leita at Versailles\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-419\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/dylanschiemann.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/img_8429-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"Versailles\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-420\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We returned to Paris in the late afternoon to do some shopping. We ended up at La Grande \u00c9picerie de Paris the day before Easter, in a mad dash of people seeking gourmet food before the shops were closed for the holiday. We had a nice dinner at Chez Clement near Saint Michel, and then headed back to our flat late in the evening to rest before beginning part 2 of our museum pass adventure on Sunday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On April 7, we spent an amazing day at the former home of Louis XIV.
