leopard spaces hot key mapping

Apple’s new Spaces feature in Leopard is great, but it lacks many of the customization options I like in the Tiger extension Virtue Desktops. Torrey recently discovered Proxi.app, which allows you to modify hot keys, and much much more.

    Hey Dylan-
IMO Spaces is underwhelming. I too was using Virtue Desktops with Tiger and miss some of its features.

In general, virtual desktops are useful only when there is a clear separation between them. IOW, when I Cmd+Tab, I should only see the apps in that desktop (Space). Switching to a different desktop should be an explicit action. Using Cmd+Tab to switch apps and virtual desktops is confusing.

    I’ve opined more here – http://www.browngeek.com/2007/11/wishes-for-spaces/

Sri, I couldn’t agree more with your points. Spaces has some really nice eye candy, but I’ve only been using Leopard so far on my laptop, and not on my primary machine.

I think it was Alex that recently said “Leopard. Best. Beta. Ever.”
